The EPUS company offers a wide variety of paper labels, referred also as "hang tags" due to a specific way of applying them on a final product.
Hang tags with attractive content create great opportunity for brand exposition as well as provide space for placing detailed information about the final product.
Manufacturing techniques
The EPUS company offers hang tags printed by means of the offset technique.
This technique allows to reproduce vivid colours by using custom paints which can be selected from a wide variety of Pantone colours. It also allows to obtain gradients (e.g.: photography) while using CMYK raster printing.
Paper used for the production of hang tags is available in a wide range of weights (80g - 350g) and different structures (e.g.: wastepaper).
Priplak (PVC)
Priplak is a special kind of a hang tag; it is a transparent label made of PVC foil. Such hang tags have a decorative as well as an informative function. They are often used in a set with paper hang tags creating together an eye-catching composition. Transparent PVC labels can be matt (frosted) or glossy.
Paper hang tags as well as PVC labels can have an artwork applied on one or both sides.

Creasing
Paper hang tags can be creased in order to create grooves that enable easy folding of a label along a given axis.
An example of creasing combined with unique shape die cut is an "envelope" hang tag which can be used as a container for extra button.
Finishing styles
The EPUS company offers hang tags with a wide variety of finishing techniques:
Hang tags coated with transparent foil
Foiling is a kind of poligraphic lamination. This technique consists in coating entire print surface with transparent foil. Thanks to it label gains extra aesthetics, gets more reinforced and protected against external factors. This type of finishing is available as matt or gloss. Hang tags can be coated on one or both sides.
Hang tags with selective UV varnish
Spot UV varnish means coating of selected areas of a hang tag with glossy UV lacquer. Such technique creates the best visual effect when applied on matte-foiled hang tag. This way selected graphic elements of a label become more distiguished.
Hang tags with selective raised varnish
It is selective coating of label's elements with raised and glossy varnish. Such technique creates the best visual effect when applied on matte-foiled hang tags. Compared to UV varnish, hang tags with selected areas coated with raised varnish are both slightly convex and glossy which enables to emphasize selected graphic elements on a label.
Hang tags with embossing
Hang tags with metallic foil stamping
Metallic foil applied on a hang tag using the hot stamping technique is a way of achieving mostly silver or golden coating on selected graphic elements of a label. Such hang tags are widely used in women's clothing where shining and avant-garde colours are predominant.
